MD Codes™ are a series of strategic, formulated injection points of hyaluronic acid onto the face.

The face can be divided into distinct anatomical subunits, clearly defined by Doctor DE MAIO, a Brazilian plastic surgeon, an expert who has trained several French experts in this facial technique.

Each of these facial subunits contains these MD Codes™. This technique is based on these facial subunits, which must be reshaped or treated according to an architectural methodology. This revolutionary technique gives spectacular results.

Each injection point is represented by a combination of letters and numbers. In-depth knowledge of the facial anatomy is required to understand and use the MD Codes™.

The letters represent an anatomical subunit, and the numbers indicate the sequencing of the injection processing. The most important injection point in the anatomical sequencing is represented by number 1 and is generally the starting point. Injection point number 3 often denotes an alert area, and the injection must be performed with extreme caution. Each patient will have a specific sequencing process, and all MD Codes™ may not be required for the corresponding anatomical subunit.

EACH PATIENT IS UNIQUE AND MUST RECEIVE A CUSTOMIZED ASSESSMENT AND AN INDIVIDUAL TREATMENT PROTOCOL.

It is preferable for patients to come with photos during their first appointment with Dr Benjamin Cozanet, trained in MD Codes™ by Dr de Maio, to better understand one’s specific aging process.

Beyond the letter and number system, the injection points are equally colored and denoted by different shapes. Red denotes an “alert area” indicating that the injecting doctor must identify and avoid any major anatomical structures within the zone, like neurovascular bundles.

The shapes denote the delivery technique: a triangle indicates fanning; a circle indicates a bolus, and a rectangle indicates linear injection.

MD Codes: Gender Differences

Since each treatment is customized, it is essential to consider the structural differences between male and female faces. The treatment methodology will be determined by experience and Dr Benjamin Cozanet’s personal preferences. To minimize the risks of damage to blood vessels and nerves, it is important to apply standard precautionary measures to all areas of the face.

One of the precautionary measures is a slow and careful injection process and the constant monitoring of signs of pain and skin discoloration. The more experienced the doctor, the fewer the risks.

MD Codes: Your Medical Facelift: A customized injection protocol

Dr Benjamin Cozanet’s individualized diagnostic is necessary to establish your personalized injection plan, according to the MD Codes™ methodology, for your medical lifting, considering precise anatomical parameters (vessels, nerves, bone structure, fat areas and all other anatomical characteristics which make each face unique).

All treatment zones are covered by the MD Codes™: forehead, cheekbones, temples, cheeks, tear trough, lips, jaw, nasolabial folds, bitterness folds, chin

The MD Codes™ approach to medical lifting involves both injection techniques, as well as the types of products used.

Each point corresponds to a specific type of hyaluronic acid from the Juvederm Allergan ranges, the desired results depend on the proper delivery tool (needle or cannula), the delivery technique (bolus, aliquot or fanning), the target depth of injection (superficial, medium or deep layer), as well as the injection dosages which are equally codified to avoid overcorrection.

 The MD Codes 8-point lift

Developed by medical expert Dr Mauricio De Maio for MD Codes, the 8-point lift technique was created in Brazil, world capital of plastic surgery.

This innovative hyaluronic acid injection 8-point lift technique gives maximal support to precise facial zones, resulting in a total facial lift and rejuvenation. The results are visible as of the first session, and respect individual facial structure and expressions.

By applying the 8-point lift technique, Dr Benjamin Cozanet performs a medical “lift” with optimal results which restore harmony back to the face. The injection points are the valley of tears, the nasolabial folds, the cheekbones, the cheeks, the facial oval, lips and under-eye circles/bags.

Extending lifespan and improving inner health drive each patient to also preserve his/her outer beauty. Aesthetic medical techniques and cosmetic surgery are in constant evolution, to ensure the effectiveness and safety of these treatments.

MD Codes™ is way beyond a mere hyaluronic acid injection technique, patients regain self-confidence and well-being. The MD Codes™ method also plays a major preventative role, to slow down facial aging by acting at the right time and at the right place.

Dr Benjamin Cozanet remains at your disposal to examine you and give you the best possible advice for your face. A Parisian expert, his professionalism makes him one of the leaders in aesthetic medicine.
