Skin is altered over time, skin elasticity and quality suffer from the ravages of age to the face and body: skin sagging, wrinkles, acne scars, stretch marks and cellulite.

Radiofrequency for Skin Laxity: Myth or Truth?

Radiofrequency is a technique used on both face and body to combat tissue sagging and cellulite (stomach, buttocks, thighs).

The radiofrequency applicator is applied to the treatment zone in small circular motions with gentle repetitive rubbing movements or applied perpendicularly to the skin with microneedles (microneedling). Dr Cozanet has been performing the tridimensional (EndyMed 3 Deep) radiofrequency technique for many years now in his 1st district aesthetic medical clinic.

When applied to the face, radiofrequency heat penetrates the dermis deeply, the depth of penetration varies according to the application method (circular or microneedling), which produces a contraction of collagen fibers and stimulates neo-collagen production.

With a variety of tip sizes and maneuverability, the latest tridimensional radiofrequency devices treat the facial oval, the neck, the areas around the mouth or the eye contour zone.

These devices are equipped with several pairs of electrodes for deep layer action, controlled, painless, with zero risk of skin burns.

How does Radiofrequency work?

Radiofrequency acts deep down (up to 30mm in depth) on fat tissue. Depending on the differing face and body treatment parameters, radiofrequency produces natural fibroblast, collagen and elastin regeneration.

Is a 40°C surface temperature enough to achieve results?

3rd generation radiofrequency can be provided by aesthetic MDs which have been specially trained to perform this technique.
With a thermometer continuously in hand throughout the session, the Doctor checks the targeted zone’s temperature repeatedly. A 40°C temperature will be reached on the skin’s surface, and 50 to 60°C deep down, for optimal effectiveness without any risk of skin burns.

Multipolar Radiofrequency Defined

A veritable skin sagging and wrinkle treatment revolution. Often used for cosmetic procedures, radiofrequency refers to a skin treatment using short-wave emissions.

Throughout the application procedure, the short heat wave generation will penetrate the superficial skin layers.

This heat production is highly beneficial for the skin. In fact, this technique stimulates the skin’s collagen production and equally produces a contraction or tightening of skin fibers. This contraction, a source of tension, brings in skin firmness and is now considered an effective way to combat skin sagging.

New-Generation Radiofrequency Technology Benefits

If radiofrequency sessions were once a bit painful and necessitated an anesthetic cream, the new-generation devices are more high-performant, painless and non-invasive for greater patient comfort.

Dr Cozanet’s clinic is equipped with this new-generation tridimensional EndyMed 3 Deep technology.

Tridimensional Radiofrequency Treatment Protocols: Everything You Need to Know

Skin tightening for face and body: painless, relaxing, no side-effects and no social downtime.

This treatment necessitates on average a course of 6 sessions, at close intervals for the first 3 sessions.

Fractional radiofrequency to treat scars, wrinkles and stretch marks produces a light ablative action and deep heat.  This treatment requires on average 3 sessions, spaced 1 month apart. Small scabs will show up, but you can apply makeup to the zone as of the day after, if necessary.

Intensive radiofrequency with microneedles or “microneedling” for the treatment of scars and wrinkles uses deep heat energy on the skin.

The Session Procedure

For a face or body treatment, the Doctor must first define the zone (s) to treat. After a full skin diagnostic, once the protocol has been selected, he applies the handpiece in a slow and constant motion on the skin’s surface, or with consecutive applications by moving the handpiece gradually in high microneedling mode.

Dr Benjamin Cozanet always takes the time to treat the entire targeted skin zone, for effective results.

How Long Does It Take to See Results

Improvements are visible as of the 2nd session and will gradually intensify throughout the sessions. 6 months after the sessions have been completed, the skin will become more and more beautiful.

Maintenance sessions are to be expected and scheduled, depending on the skin profile and needs.

Various radiofrequency treatments can be combined to optimize natural and long-lasting results.
